Lowbed Truck Driver:

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Lowbed Truck Driver to operate specialized heavy-duty trucks for the transportation of oversized and heavy loads. The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy equipment transportation. This role involves route driving, load and unload operations, and ensuring timely delivery of loads to various destinations.

Responsibilities

Operate lowbed trucks and tractor-trailers with manual transmissions to transport heavy and oversized freight.
Safely load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks.
Drive route-specific deliveries, adhering to schedules and traffic regulations.
Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
Perform routine inspections of the vehicle before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and cargo details in compliance with DOT regulations.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on routes.
Assist with maintenance tasks such as basic repairs or reporting mechanical issues promptly.

Requirements

Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for flatbed, tanker, or refrigerated trailers preferred.
Proven experience in truck driving, especially with tractor-trailers, flatbeds, or dump trucks.
Familiarity with freight handling, load & unload procedures, and route driving logistics.
Experience operating manual transmission trucks is highly desirable.
Ability to operate additional equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy hauling and transportation regulations.
Physical capability to load/unload freight and perform vehicle inspections regularly.
Must have a clean driving record and pass a background check along with a pre-employment drug screening. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment requiring professionalism, safety consciousness, and excellent driving skills for heavy-duty transportation tasks.
Tanker and Doubles endorsements preferred as well.

Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
